This can serve as both an appetizer or a dessert for a party. A small serving goes a long way.
Pick out a young and soft brie, about 8 oz. Any from France are usually good.
Preheat an oven to 350 F.
Remove Brie from packaging including any plastic on it. Keep the rind! Place the brie on a baking sheet.
While the Brie is baking, make my strawberry compote sauce.
Bake the Brie for 12 minutes or until it is soft to the touch. Usually when it’s done it will start to leak cheese. Remove from the oven and let it cool for exactly 5 minutes (if you cut it right now all the cheese will run out of it so be sure to wait the 5 minutes) and then top with my strawberry compote. Serve immediately. You can eat with a cheese knife. 8 oz of this should serve 5-8 people.
